| 2 shades of Blue (business cards) | by Nick Ewen, Director of Content | | | Many business cards feature valuable perks and lucrative bonuses — but they often incur hefty annual fees.
But last month, American Express launched rare welcome offers on two of its terrific no-annual-fee cards: Beyond the bonuses, the Blue Business Plus earns 2 Membership Rewards points per dollar on the first $50,000 you spend in a calendar year (then 1 point per dollar). Meanwhile, the Blue Business Cash offers 2% back on the first $50,000 you spend each year (then 1%).
Two percent back on a no-annual-fee business card is impressive, but it's the Blue Business Plus that can really amplify your rewards.
Fifty thousand dollars in spending would get you 100,000 points per year (worth $2,000 based on TPG's valuations), and that's not even including the welcome bonus or other bonus points you can earn through Amex Offers — like the current one on Amazon purchases.
This card plays a major role in my earning strategy since I almost always prioritize transferable rewards over others.
However, the Blue Business Cash is also a great option for enterprises that want simplicity — especially since the rewards you earn are automatically credited to your account.
And you may qualify for a business card without even knowing it.
