| Venture X vs. Venture Rewards | by Tarah Chieffi, Travel News Reporter | | | Choosing between two credit cards can be tough, especially when they come with as many perks as the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card both have.
The Venture X has a $395 annual fee (see rates and fees), while the Venture Rewards' annual fee is only $95 (see rates and fees), and both currently offer a welcome bonus of 75,000 miles after you spend $4,000 in the first three months of account opening.
Let's see if you can squeeze enough value out of the Venture X to make it worth the annual fee.
Both the Venture Rewards and the Venture X offer up to a $100 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit. With the Venture X, though, you also receive complimentary access to Capital One lounges, Priority Pass lounges and Plaza Premium lounges for you and up to two guests, a $300 annual travel credit for bookings made through the Capital One Travel portal, and a 10,000-mile bonus for each cardholder anniversary, equal to $185 according to TPG's current valuations.
Combined, these will more than cover the $395 annual fee, but only if you know you will use them.
If you travel frequently, the Venture X is the clear winner out of these two cards. If you travel less frequently, however, you can still reap some travel benefits with the Venture Rewards.
Still not sure? These stories can help you choose between these two lucrative travel cards:
