| New year, new you, new card | by Nick Ewen, Director of Content | | | Happy New Year! As we greet 2024, I'm sure many of you are already making those New Year's resolutions — whether that's focusing on your fitness, spending time with family or eating healthy.
But if you don't have one yet, why not commit to upping your rewards game?
You probably have at least one of our favorite credit cards, but now could be a great time to kick your strategy to the next level — by adding transferable currencies to the mix.
Most card issuers have flexible rewards programs that allow you to redeem points or miles in a variety of ways. However, if you want the potential for even more value on your next trip, now's the time to learn the ins and outs of transfer partners.
For example, Chase Ultimate Rewards points and Bilt Rewards points can be transferred to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. With award nights starting at just 3,500 Hyatt points, you can really stretch the value of your rewards for an upcoming vacation. And this gets even more lucrative if there's a limited-time transfer bonus.
I recently added the Chase Freedom Unlimited to my wallet to take advantage of the special offer for double cash back in the first year. Since I also have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, I can convert those cash-back rewards to fully transferable Ultimate Rewards points — giving me some incredible earning potential through most of 2024.
January is typically the time of year when we start to see many new offers on credit cards, so be sure not to miss the daily newsletter, as we will be covering them all.
