| | Now is the time for Amex Business Gold | | by Katie Genter, Senior Writer | | | One of our favorite business cards — it won the 2023 TPG Award for Best Business Credit Card — is the American Express® Business Gold Card.
Back in October, the Amex Business Gold gained new bonus categories and statement credits. But Feb. 1, the card's annual fee will increase from $295 to $375 (see rates and fees). So if you've been considering the Amex Business Gold, you'll want to get your application in before the end of January to enjoy a year of card membership at the current annual fee.
Currently, the Amex Business Gold Card has a welcome offer of 70,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $10,000 on eligible purchases with your card in the first three months of card membership.
Plus, the Amex Business Gold earns 4 points per dollar on the two categories where your business spends the most in each billing cycle out of six categories (on the first $150,000 in combined purchases in these categories each calendar year). And you can enjoy up to $20 in statement credits each month (enrollment required) after you use the card for eligible U.S. purchases at FedEx, Grubhub and office supply stores.
To learn more about the Amex Business Gold, see the following stories: If you're not looking for a business card, the consumer American Express® Gold Card is also a great option with a 60,000-point welcome offer after spending $6,000 in the first six months of card membership. The consumer Amex Gold earns 4 Membership Rewards points per dollar at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 per calendar year in purchases) and restaurants, including takeout and delivery in the U.S.
