| Your miles, your way | by Tarah Chieffi, Travel News Reporter | | | If you ask 10 people to tell you the best way to use Capital One miles, you'll get 10 different answers. Let me tell you why that is a good thing.
Capital One miles — which you can earn by using the Capital One Venture Rewards Card, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or the Capital One Venture X Business — are some of the most versatile rewards on the market.
I asked a few of my TPG colleagues to share their favorite use of Capital One miles and wasn't at all surprised to receive answers that appeal to budget and luxury travelers alike.
One staffer was able to fly business class to Europe by transferring 45,000 Capital One miles to Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles at a fixed 1:1 transfer ratio. Also, when using Miles&Smiles, you can sometimes find award space to use those miles to fly to Hawaii for only 15,000 miles. Alternatively, you can transfer Capital One miles to Flying Blue to take advantage of limited-time Promo Rewards on Air France and KLM.
You can redeem miles to cover recent travel purchases made using your card, transfer miles to more than 15 airline and hotel partners, book travel through the Capital One travel portal, pay for Amazon and PayPal purchases, and more.
If you're not already a cardmember, you can earn up to 300,000 bonus miles right now with the new limited-time offer on the Capital One Venture X Business.
If you sign up for the Venture X Business card now, you can earn 150,000 miles when you spend $20,000 in the first three months. Plus, you can earn an additional 150,000 miles when you spend $100,000 in the first six months.
We value Capital One miles at 1.85 cents each, so the Venture X Business welcome offer is worth over $5,500 in travel.
