| Checking in? | by Tarah Chieffi, Travel News Reporter | | | You know how people say they love that new-car smell? Well, here at TPG, we love the smell of a new hotel. When a hotel first opens its doors and everything is freshly painted, untouched and totally pristine, we just can't get enough of it.
If you love a new hotel as much as we do, you're in luck: We just released our list of 56 of this year's most exciting hotel openings from across the globe. Ranging from ultraluxe resorts to family-friendly, affordable properties, there's a hotel (or two) on this list for everyone.
For example, there are two gorgeous new Hilton properties in the Seychelles (peep the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island above), a new Soho House in Brazil and the debut of Aman's long-awaited sister brand, Janu, in Tokyo. Stateside, Disneyland just opened the first Pixar-themed hotel in the U.S., there's a new Conrad with an 8-acre lagoon in Orlando and a new St. Regis in Longboat Key, Florida.
Of course, we are most jazzed for new hotels where we can earn (and burn) loyalty points. Marriott loyalists will find properties in Canada, Bora Bora and Hawaii on this list, while in addition to Orlando and the Seychelles, Hilton also has exciting openings in Honolulu and Atlanta.
Before you "book now," here are a few tips that can help you get to some of these properties without spending a ton of cash:
