All good things must come to an end, and sadly, that's definitely the case with lucrative welcome offers on top credit cards.
And in just a couple of days, one of the best we've seen in years is set to disappear, as the Capital One Venture X Business card's 300,000-mile bonus will end Monday.
This is a tiered bonus, as you'll earn 150,000 miles after spending $20,000 in the first three months from account opening and an additional 150,000 miles after spending $100,000 in the first six months. And yes, that is a lot of money to spend. But even if you can only hit the first tier, 150,000 miles is a huge haul of rewards.
For starters, 300,000 miles is worth $3,000 if used directly for eligible travel purchases. And Capital One makes it super easy to do so. Simply pay with your card, and then log in to your account to request a statement credit to cover the purchase. It can be for a flight, a hotel, a rental car or even a vacation rental — giving you terrific flexibility for your next trip.
However, my favorite use of Capital One miles is to transfer them to one of the issuer's airline and hotel partners — especially for premium-class flights or luxury hotel rooms.
Just last month, I used 90,000 miles for a three-night stay in the heart of Park City, Utah, by transferring them to Wyndham Rewards — over a holiday weekend, no less. The stay would've otherwise set me back more than $2,100.
Other great options include Air Canada Aeroplan (my favorite for Star Alliance business class to Europe) and British Airways Executive Club (my go-to for nonstop American Airlines flights within the U.S. or to the Caribbean, like my recent trip to Turks and Caicos). You can check out our guide to maximizing Capital One miles for further inspiration.
But the value of this card is so much more than the miles you earn. It offers extensive airport lounge access — including the three Capital One lounges plus Priority Pass and Plaza Premium locations. You'll also enjoy a $300 annual travel credit for bookings via Capital One Travel (which happens to be my favorite credit card portal, thanks to the included pricing insights from Hopper). And finally, you can enjoy an array of value-added perks at curated luxury hotels around the world with the Premier Collection.
Don't miss out on the chance to earn one of the best bonuses we've seen in years. Apply for the Venture X Business by Monday — and take your small business's earning potential to the next level.
Happy travels,
Nick Ewen
