WHAT OUR EDITORS ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS MONTH
The Miele Classic C1 Turbo Team PowerLine Vacuum is my most prized possession.

The Miele Classic C1 Turbo Team PowerLine Vacuum is my most prized possession.

Sure, it's a little clunkier than a cordless vacuum, but with an 18-foot cord, you can plug it in and cover at least a few rooms. It sucks up everything in sight from pet hair to dust balls. Our white wool area rug collects fuzz quickly, and after vacuuming it with the Miele, it looks like it's been professionally cleaned. Sure it's not as aesthetic as a Dyson cordless vacuum, but nothing is cooler to me than an appliance that actually works. — Samantha Mangino, Shopping Reporter

I got a few packages of these to DIY a backsplash in my kitchen.

I got a few packages of these to DIY a backsplash in my kitchen.

They were super easy to use and the whole project came together really fast. I've already received a ton of compliments on them – and the best part is that they'll come down easily, making them a great solution for renters (or people like me who change their mind a lot!) — Nicole Cammorata, Director of Special Projects

This is incredibly niche, but I bought loop turner this month.

This is incredibly niche, but I bought loop turner this month.

I'm teaching my boyfriend how to sew, and our first project was a tote bag. We needed to turn our straps inside out once we sewed them, and the safety pin method was not the smoothest for us. So, I bought this pack of loop turners and drawstring threaders for future projects. — Miller Kern, Deputy Editor of Shopping and Reviews

I've wanted the IKEA

I've wanted the IKEA "donut lamp" for quite some time now

But thanks to TikTok, it was sold out at every store in my area for months. I had pretty much given up hope that it'd ever get restock, but on one fateful day in February, I spotted a few left on their website at IKEA's Brooklyn location. So, I hopped in my car and drove myself there from New Jersey to grab one. I'm not usually one to cross state lines for a lamp, but this one was worth it — it looks so great hanging on the wall in my kitchen, and gives off a beautiful warm glow that puts my apartment's overhead lighting to shame. — Dylan Haas, Lead Shopping Reporter

I love a good 'yee-haw' moment.

I love a good 'yee-haw' moment.

I have a ton of Western-style stuff in my apartment, and even have a few cowboy-themed tattoos. But, one thing I've never owned until this moment: A nice pair of cowboy boots. This pair from Tecovas is super comfortable, feels high-quality, and has a timeless look that goes great with so many different outfits. They're a little loud — you can hear me walking down a hall from a mile away — but hey, they're a statement boot anyway, so I'll happily take on that burden (and the attention). — Dylan Haas, Lead Shopping Reporter

A new desk for working from home

A new desk for working from home

I started packing up my space for a move right around the time that approximately 10,000 Presidents' Day sales started up. The stars were simply too aligned for me not to finally bid farewell to my Ikea desk, which I ended up replacing with Branch's Daily Desk in the walnut and white color combo. I've only been working on it for a few days, but I can say it was the easiest setup experience I've ever had with a desk, and the darker walnut desktop looks way more elevated than the Ikea bamboo I was rocking before. — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

Three months of free access to the Severed floor

Three months of free access to the Severed floor

The best thing I bought this month I didn't technically spend a dime on. Best Buy offered three months of Apple TV+ for free, which I took advantage of right as season two of Severance premiered. Sadly, they ended that offer, but I mention this 'purchase' as a reminder for you to check out the retailer for any subscription freebies: right now, you can grab two months of Apple Fitness+, free of charge." — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

FINISHING TOUCHES FOR YOUR HOME
A harlequin

A harlequin "re-jute" runner from the Ruggable x goop collection

I try to source all of my home decor secondhand, but I struggled to find a just-right runner for my entry hallway: something that could handle a high-traffic area while marrying the loud patterns of the vintage area rugs in the adjacent rooms. After repeatedly striking out on Etsy, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace, I settled for a harlequin "re-jute" runner from the Ruggable x goop collection, which I waited to buy on sale for 15% off during its Presidents' Day sale. It's not very soft — natural jute isn't either, to be fair — but it feels super durable, which is more important to me in the grand scheme of things. I especially like the low-profile rug pad that came with it, which has Velcro-like "Cling Effect" technology that keeps the runner secure in place even when my dog gets the zoomies on it. I recently discovered that Wishbone Kitchen's Meredith Hayden owns the exact same one, and her pup Poppy also appears to be a fan. — Haley Henschel, Senior Shopping Reporter
