| | | | | | | | | | | | | Welcome back to TPG's Bilt Navigator, where we'll walk with you through the beginning of the new Bilt 2.0 program so you can get the most out of earning and redeeming Bilt Rewards Points.
Today, we're going to do something fun — help you figure out which earning rewards style could make the most sense for your situation (all without making your head hurt!).
But first: In case you missed it, so far in this series, we have shared tips on setting up your Bilt Rewards account and earning easy points by linking your Lyft account to earn Bilt points when you use Lyft (no matter what card you pay with).
Bilt now has two ways that you can earn rewards on housing for those with one of its three new cards — and you get to choose which option to use. We're going to describe the choices, but don't stress with all this text; feel free to scan over it and keep going to the really fun part.
- Earn points on your rent or mortgage based on other spending put on a Bilt card.
With this earning option, the number of points you earn on your rent or mortgage payment made via Bilt ranges from 0.5 points per dollar spent to 1.25 points per dollar spent, based on the percentage of that housing payment amount you would charge to a Bilt card in other everyday purchases that month.
In this method of earning rewards on your housing payment, you would not earn Bilt Cash on Bilt card purchases, though you do still earn Bilt Rewards points.

- Earn Bilt Cash along with points.
The other option is to earn 4% in Bilt Cash on everyday, nonhousing purchases, along with the Bilt points awarded by a Bilt credit card.
So, if you charge $100 in purchases on a Bilt card, you'll earn $4 in Bilt Cash, plus the regular Bilt points awarded by the card.
You can then use Bilt Cash for all sorts of things, ranging from unlocking earning 1 point per dollar spent on housing payments (at a cost of $30 in Bilt Cash per $1,000 of the housing payment you want to earn points on) to "buying up" to better Rent Day transfer bonuses and paying for Blade helicopter rides. Up to $100 of Bilt Cash earned rolls over to the next year.
Now, there are two pieces of good news.
First, this isn't a lifelong choice. Bilt cardholders can change their mind on which way to earn rewards as often as every month.
And second, instead of bombarding you with hypothetical math and various made-up scenarios, we've built a calculator to help you see how many points and Bilt Cash you could earn, depending on spending habits, housing payment costs, which Bilt card you'd use, etc.
Simply plug in the answers for any situation, and you can see how many Bilt points and/or Bilt Cash you would earn.
We'll talk more about using Bilt Cash in the emails ahead, but hopefully this calculator will help you see what's possible via each Bilt Rewards earning pathway for those with one of the three Bilt credit cards.
If you don't yet have a Bilt Rewards card but now want to potentially add one to your wallet, here are the current welcome offers.
