Congrats — you’ve been earning and burning points and maximizing the Bilt 2.0 program with us for just over two months!
Or even if you haven’t been doing all those things quite yet, you’ve hopefully been learning the basics of how you could do them in the future.
Personally, I’ve earned over 125,000 Bilt Points, which TPG values at $2,750, in my first 60 days with Bilt 2.0, thanks to a combination of the 50,000-bonus-point welcome offer after spending $4,000 on everyday purchases in the first three months that’s available on the Bilt Palladium Card (see rates and fees); paying my mortgage through Bilt; earning 3 points per dollar spent on everyday purchases on the Palladium Card (by activating the extra point per dollar you can earn on purchases by redeeming Bilt Cash — up to $100 in Bilt Cash earned rolls over each year); and getting bonuses on dining, Lyft rides and so much more.
And we think many others can do the same, so here’s a 60-day checklist to be sure you’ve got all the Bilt info you need in one easy-to-find spot.
Rack up Bilt points on monthly housing payments
|
Ensure you’ve picked the best points-earning pathway for you. Bilt offers two ways to earn rewards on your housing payment and Bilt credit card, and TPG built a calculator to help you find the best option for your situation. |
Turn everyday purchases into Bilt points
Earn more rewards with Bilt Neighborhood Benefits: Open the Neighborhood tab within Bilt and opt in to the different earning options, as you never know when you’ll be able to pick up some easy points.
And remember, you can pay with any credit card you’ve added to your Bilt Wallet and earn these bonus Bilt points on top of your credit card rewards.
|
Earn bonus points when shopping online: Tap "Everyday Rewards" to confirm your Rakuten account is linked to Bilt, and, in your Rakuten account, confirm that your "Big Fat Check" preference is set to pay out in Bilt points. |
|
Earn bonus points on Lyft rides: Tap "Rideshare" to verify Bilt is your active loyalty partner for an easy 2 bonus points per dollar spent. |
|
Earn bonus points at Walgreens: Tap "Pharmacy" to confirm your link is active to earn 2 bonus Bilt points per dollar spent on Walgreens-branded products, 1 point per dollar spent on other eligible items and 100 Bilt points per prescription refill. |
|
Earn bonus points on parking: Register your license plate in the Metropolis section for automatic points on parking. |
|
Add Bilt to your digital wallet: If you haven't already, add your Bilt card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, so you can earn points even when you don't have your physical card on you. |
|
Make sure your other credit cards are linked to Bilt: Tap "Wallet" and confirm your other Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards are added. This is how you automatically earn Bilt points at Neighborhood partners, even when you're not using your Bilt card. And yes, you still earn your regular card rewards at the same time! |
|
Earn an extra point per dollar spent when you redeem Bilt Cash: This is possible on the Bilt Obsidian Card (see rates and fees) and Bilt Palladium Card if you redeem Bilt Cash. I do this to turn my Bilt Palladium Card into an earning machine: 3 points per dollar spent on everyday purchases. You can do this up to five times per year, and it expires after $5,000 of everyday spending or at the end of the calendar year. |
Redeem your Bilt points for maximum value
In the first 60 days, I’ve used Bilt Cash and the Palladium Card’s twice-yearly $200 hotel credit (plus Bilt points!) for a stay at the Disneyland Hotel and transferred Bilt points to Atmos Rewards to book 35,000-point business-class award flights on American Airlines back from Hawaii.
That’s thousands in rewards value already – and we want you to do that and more!
|
Familiarize yourself with the Bilt Travel site
- You can book flights, hotels and more while redeeming Bilt points at a flat rate of 1.25 cents per point in value, which is above the industry average. You can even stack this with using Bilt hotel credits from various Bilt cards and using Bilt Cash toward hotels in Bilt Travel to keep more money in your pocket.
- Or you can potentially stretch the value of your Bilt points by transferring them to high-value partners such as Atmos Rewards, United MileagePlus, World of Hyatt and many more.
- You can even use the newly integrated Points Path tool to see which redemption method is better for booking flights. (Currently valid only on one-way flight searches for select partners.)

Never miss a Rent Day. Whether you want to rack up bonus Bilt points or take advantage of frequent Rent Day transfer bonuses (based on your Bilt elite status level), check our Bilt Rent Day guide monthly to see what Bilt has in store on the first of every month. |
That’s it for now on working through the basics, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop since we expect that Bilt will have more ways to earn and redeem rewards coming soon!
