The Insta 360 X6 is part of Insta360’s updated X-series 360 camera lineup, bringing a slightly larger sensor, faster video frame rates, better low-light performance, and tools to help you spend less time editing and more time filming. While it’s not a huge leap over its predecessor, the X6 is a solid improvement with several new features that might make upgrading worth it for some users. Overall we still think the GoPro Max 2 delivers the highest quality 360 video, but if you want a hybrid camera that can shoot 360 footage and work as a more traditional action camera, the X6 is hard to beat. The new InstaFrame 2.0 feature, which is Insta360’s name for the ability to record both 360 video and a single-lens shot at the same time, allows you to get 4K action camera footage, with 360 footage as backup.
